Preta — Help Center
Anything missing? Use Settings → Support → Send Feedback in the app, or email info@worldjiujitsutour.com.
Getting started
- Set up your profile: add your belt, academy and how long you've trained from Profile → Edit Profile. Your belt colours your posts and story ring everywhere in the app.
- Find your academy: Settings → Academy. If your gym is on Preta you can join it; if not, it still shows up from the map so people can find you.
- Watch the intro again: Settings → Support → Watch the intro.
Posting
- Post shares photos to the feed. Several photos become a swipeable carousel. A caption with
#hashtagsmakes the post searchable, and@usernametags a person (they can turn tagging off). - A lone video becomes a Roll — it shows in the Rolls tab and on Explore, not in the home feed. Mix a video with photos and it stays a normal post with the clip playing inside the carousel.
- Status is a text-only post. Story disappears after 24 hours.
- Video uploads support clips up to 100 MB. If an upload fails, the app shows the exact reason — send that message to us if it doesn't make sense.
- Archive instead of delete: use the ⋯ menu on a post to hide it from your profile without losing it. Restore any time from Settings → Archived Posts.
- Comments: tap the speech bubble under a post. You can delete your own comments with one tap; report anyone else's from the same row.
Oss, saving and sharing
- Oss is Preta's like — double-tap a photo or tap the OSS button. A double-tap never removes an Oss; only the button toggles it off.
- Tap the "N Oss" line under a post to see who sent it.
- Save keeps a post in Settings → Saved Posts. The bookmark turns gold when saved.
- Share with friends sends a post straight into a chat — long-press a post for the quick menu.
Messages
- Start a chat from any profile, or the pencil icon in Messages. Groups too.
- Search messages with the bar at the top of the inbox — it matches names instantly and message text as you type.
- Long-press a conversation to mute it, mark it read, or delete it. Swipe left to delete quickly.
- Muted chats never ping your phone; the messages still arrive.
Notifications
- Turn on Settings → Notifications → Push to this device. iPhone will ask for permission the first time.
- Likes & Comments in Settings controls whether Oss and comments reach your lock screen at all — off means they don't even ring the bell.
- Follow requests for a private account land in the bell too — approve or decline right there.
- Not getting pushes? Check notification permission in your phone's Settings, then toggle the switch off and on.
Shop
- Buy: Explore → Shop shows listings near you. Sellers who ship show up everywhere; local-only listings show up within about 50 miles. Turn on Settings → Location Services to see what's close.
- Sell: tap Sell in the shop. Your exact address is never shown — buyers see a rough area and a distance. Edit a listing any time from the listing page; sold items can be marked sold.
Privacy
- Private Account: only approved followers see your posts.
- Hide Oss Counts: other people stop seeing numbers on your posts — you still see yours.
- Rolls Only in Rolls Tab: your videos stay off your profile's Posts grid.
- Show My Belt hides your rank; Allow Tags stops mentions.
- Blocking (⋯ on a person's profile) hides you from each other entirely. Manage the list under Settings → Blocked Accounts.
- Reporting: ⋯ on any post, comment or profile. Reports go to Preta's moderators; you'll hear back if we act on it.
- Full details: the Privacy Policy in Settings → Support.
Training log & belt journey
- The training log is private to you — nobody else can see it. Log a day with one tap; use the −/+ stepper to record several sessions in one day.
- Your belt journey lives on your profile. Change rank any time in Settings → Change Belt; the app keeps your history.
Academies & events
- Find academies in Nearby Gyms — real gyms near you come from Google Maps; academies on Preta show a full page you can join or follow.
- Tournament organisations on Preta publish events under Explore → Tournaments; registration reserves your spot with the organiser.
Account
- Change password / Sign out everywhere: Settings → Privacy.
- Delete your account: Settings → bottom of the page. This is permanent and removes everything you've posted.
- Anything else: info@worldjiujitsutour.com.
