Preta — Privacy Policy

Preta is a social app for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do not do. It describes the app as it actually works, not as a template.
Who we are
Preta is operated by the individual developer of the app. For any privacy question, or to request deletion of your data, contact info@worldjiujitsutour.com.
What we collect

Because the app works
- Which posts you liked, saved or commented on, so the app can show you the right state.
- Which accounts you follow and block.
- Whether you have opened a notification, so the bell can clear.
- Anonymous counts of sponsored posts shown and tapped. See Advertising below.
What we do not collect
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs or tracking pixels. There is no Facebook SDK, no Google Analytics, no attribution service. The app ships no third-party scripts at all. We do not collect your contacts, your precise GPS trail, your device advertising identifier, or your browsing outside Preta.
Advertising
Organisations — gyms, gear businesses, tournaments and non-profits — can promote a post inside Preta. This is worth being precise about, because "advertising" usually implies far more data collection than happens here.
- Ads are not targeted using your personal data. A sponsored post is shown in the feed to people who see the feed. We do not build an advertising profile of you, and we do not segment audiences by your belt, your gym, your messages or your behaviour.
- Advertisers receive counts, never identities. An advertiser sees how many times their post was shown and tapped. They do not see who saw it, who tapped it, or anything about those people.
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or anyone else. There is no data broker relationship and nothing is licensed to third parties.
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not follow you off Preta, and we do not use the iOS advertising identifier.
If this ever changes — for example if Preta adds a third-party ad network — this policy will be updated before that happens and you will be told in the app.
Where your data lives
- Supabase hosts the database, authentication and file storage. Your data is stored on their infrastructure under their security controls.
- Netlify hosts the web version of the app.
- Google Places is queried when you search for nearby gyms. Your approximate coordinates are sent to Google to return nearby results. Google's own privacy policy applies to that request. We do not store the results.
Who can see what
- Public: your profile, posts, comments, stories and shop listings. Your belt rank is public unless you hide it in Settings.
- Private to you: your training log, your saved posts, your blocked list, your notifications.
- Between you and the recipient: direct messages. Photos sent in messages are stored in a private bucket that only the people in that conversation can read.
- Private accounts: if you turn on Private Account, only approved followers see your posts, Rolls and Belt Journey.
Your choices
- Delete your account, from Settings. This permanently removes your profile, posts, photos, messages, belt history and training log. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
- Hide your belt, from Settings.
- Turn location off, in Settings or in iOS Settings. The app works without it; distances simply become estimates.
- Block anyone. Blocking hides both accounts from each other in both directions and removes any follow between you.
- Request a copy of your data by emailing us.
Children
Preta supports the IBJJF youth belt system, which covers practitioners aged 4–15. If you are under 13, do not create an account without a parent or guardian setting it up and supervising it. If we learn that we hold data for a child under 13 without that consent, we will delete it. Parents can contact us at the address above to review or delete a child's account.
Security
Your session is stored on your device. Access to data is enforced at the database level with row-level security, so one account cannot read another's private data even if the app were modified. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected users promptly if a breach ever occurs.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the app will tell you before the change takes effect.
